The agency does not offer any type of emergency rental assistance. All families will be assisted from the waitlist by order of the lottery and preferences. If the waitlist is closed, you will not be able to apply for rental assistance.
You have the ability to check your status online at http://lakelandhousing.org/waiting-list
Notice Of Eligibility
When your name comes to the top of the waitlist, you will be sent a written notification to either provide information or a notice of an appointment. You must attend the appointment or provide information in order to be considered for rental assistance. If two (2) notices are sent without a response, your name will automatically be removed from the waitlist.
If you are currently on the waitlist it is your responsibility to update your address by providing a written statement of the new address. Lakeland Housing Authority will not accept a verbal report of a change of address. Change of address must be reported to Lakeland Housing Authority and must be in writing. Changing your address at the Post Office will not update your information at Lakeland Housing Authority.
Data showed here represents statuses from previous applicants, if you just pre-applied for housing services your information WILL NOT BE IN RECORDS!, once your pre-application is imported/transfered to Agency Housing System (you will be getting a notification via email), then you can start using the Waitlist Assistant to check the status of your Application.
