Request for Qualifications for Hud Environmental Review Consultant Rfq 25001

The Housing Authority of the City of Lakeland (also known as the “Lakeland Housing Authority” or “LHA”) is inviting Consultants with extensive experience in the fields of urban development and master planning to submit  statements of qualifications for a HUD Environmental Review Consultant for a LHA-owned and/or controlled property. The successful respondent must demonstrate the ability and experience to work with the LHA to conduct a large scale, comprehensive, HUD Environmental Review.

The HUD Environmental Review services under this solicitation shall be specific to a LHA-owned and controlled property, which is currently vacant. An environmental review is an evaluation of a project and its potential  environmental impacts to determine whether it complies with all applicable environmental laws and authorities. All HUD-assisted projects are required to undergo an environmental review to evaluate environmental impacts. The analysis considers both the project’s potential e?ect on the environment and the potential e?ect of the environment on the project, site, and end users. Upon successful or substantial completion of this review, other properties owned and/or controlled by the LHA may be o?ered for environmental review.
