Maintenance Skills Training Program

The Maintenance Skills Training (MST) Program of the Housing Authority of the City of Lakeland is a 12-month training program that is a combination of on-the-job training in the daily operations of The Housing Authority, and formalized maintenance skills courses.

The program is designed to instill in the trainee the proper workplace skills demanded of an employee in today’s job market, and to give them an opportunity to gain viable workplace experience for their résumé. The ultimate goal of this program is to impart basic maintenance skills and work experience in an actual workplace environment.
